Une bonne bière belge d’abbaye. Elle est un peu forte à mon gout, mais garde un gout assez prononcé et légèrement sucré.

Bottle thanks to Bonfunck. In a comparison with Flierefluiter. Odd resemblance. Pours blond with a white metallic head. Lively carbonation. Medium bodied. Short finish.

33cl bottle some typical affligem bitterness its a average tripel not great, great resemblance with ne flierefluiter practical the same beer, same taste same appearance same smell perhaps a bit smoother but that can also be the result of ageing.

330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Pale amber, scummy head. Soft fruity aroma, quite bland. Pleasant carbonation. Some toffee in the mouth, but mostly a biting noble hop bitterness. On swallowing, a very pleasant gently roasted malt, and some fruity toffiness comes out. After that there is a long bitter tingle. Some gluey esters in the mouth as it warms. Almost mustardy heat too. It was a bit of a gusher, so perhaps the mustard is from bacterial souring?
