Cask (Peterborough BF 2007) Orange, no head. Starts with a smack of fruity hops, fills in with a great malty body, which gives it its finish.

Cask, Peterborough Fest 07. Amber gold with a small head. Aromas are weetabix malts with earthy notes. Hoppy and spicy. Flavours are malty with sweetened grapefruit. Some melon and kiwi. Has a great fruity bitter finish. Good stuff.

Pint pulled at the Horse & Groom in Caulcott (Oxfordshire), a clear deep amber colour wilth a light foamy white head. A warming malt aroma with a good hop tang. Very smooth in the mouth, slightly buttery with an easy malt flavour and a good bitter finish. Maieb - served in top condition this was as good as you suspected.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Northampton BF. A copper coloured beer with a loose white head. The aroma is sulphuric with rotten oranges. The taste, thankfully, is much better. Nice hops with plenty of rich citrus notes. Probably oranges. Wasn’t perfectly fresh which is a shame, as I reckon this beer has huge potential.
