Commercial Description:
New formula started in August 2009. This brew is a robust lager made with a roasted malts and will have a medium level of hop character. This brew will amply satisfy the demand for a lager/helles.

Pretty good beer! Got this bottle a few months ago at the brew pub in Potosi. Poured a small to medium very light tan head and no lace. Color is a clear medium amber. Aroma is malty and fresh beer with a hint of hop. Flavor is malty, a bit roasty, caramel, toffee and a bit of hop. Good body and carbonation. Finish is a touch sweet, but still pretty good. Depending on mood, could be a session.

Potosi’s new brewmaster has changed the Holiday bock recipe from a dunkler bock to a heller bock. Therefore, a new beer. Pours a clear golden amber colored brew with a creamy off-white head that as some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of golden grain and caramel malt, a hint of candi sugar, sweet pear and a hint of flowery hops. Taste is medium to full bodied, light carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, some cotton candy, flowery hops and a touch of salt. Finish has a light metallic texture with a crisp and semi-sweet aftertaste the quickly disappears. A little closer to the original classic Holiday beer of the late 1950s and early 1960s but much sweeter and heavier body.
