Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a large, frothy, well-lacing light beige head. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel and biscuity Belgian malt with a touch of raisins and yeasty esters. Starts with a lot of effervescence and otherwise viscous malty undertones with good dark caramel sweetness and bready yeasty balance before a drier, toasty finish. Not mind-blowing, but a pretty enjoyable and tasty Belgian strong ale.

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Malty decent strong dark Belgian ale. OK. Last beer of the session for me. Man behind the bar was very kind and gave this to me for free

Tap @ ZBF 2009.
Pours a nice, clear, amber brown with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has hazelnuts, light tartness from notes of plums. Lighty vinious. Frothy, fine mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Flavour is sweet, some vanilla, roasted malts and a touch of coffee. Fair enough.

Draught at Zythos Beer Festival, March 7th and 8th 09 Pours Pours amber with a light beige head, some icing sugar and brown sugar combine on the nose. The taste is simple but unsuprisingly given the aroma maybe a touch on the sweet side. Maltiness carries and there are molasses and toffee with some fruit, its fine. A6 A4 F6 P3 OV13 3.2
