(Bottled) Dark, reddish brown color with a small, beige head. Slightly sour, malty aroma with slight cardboard hints. Honeyish-fruity, sweetish and spicy, orange flavor. Very smooth, medium to full-bodied, quite low-carbonated palate. A pleasant, quite tasty brew.

Dark brown color, with a grey-like foam. Caramel aroma with a hint of cinnamon. Very strong and alcoholic flavor with cinnamon, speculaas and caramel. Sweetish with a dash of milk chocolate.

Reddish deep brown color and a pour with a foamy fizzy head - like sea foam. Sweetish brown sugar malt - cookie-like. Candy in the middle they a gritty drying end. Alcohol punch adds the enjoyment of flavors and ties everything together well. Complex, sophisticed and unique.

Malty (caramel) aroma with fruits (apple, others). Hazy brown coloured with a good lacing. Taste is malty (caramel) and quite sweet. Fruity (apple) and some spicy notes. Some alcohol noticeable. First sips were a bit sharp. Beer tastes better after the first few sips. Bit slticky and some dryness. Decent.

Dry, light oxidation commingling with piney, spruce notes and a dash of black pepper...Its pith is of cloves, figs, dates and sweet chocolate, very much in the dark Belgian Strong Ale tradition...Heavy carbonation fogs up the underlying complexities, to my dismay...I see the Rochefort link, although I feel it is much less than its comparison suggests...Thanks Joris!!...
