Commercial Description:
An ale of significant alcoholic strength, though usually not as strong or rich as barleywine. Tilted toward a sweeter, more malty balance.

This poured a dark amber color with a tan head. The aroma was sweet with caramel, oranges and Karo corn syrup. The taste had orange peel with some bitter toffee. There was a weird almost plastic finish that threw this off a touch. If not for the finish, this woud have been pretty good.

Poured deep red with garnet hues, and a khaki head on top. I think I could actually see some legs on this one. Fruity esters and citrusy Chinook aroma. Truck loads of hop flavor and aroma. Malt character is almost an afterthought. Lingering alcohol burn.
