| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2005 (Draft: Powerhouse Restaurant & Brewery in Puyallup, WA) Nice, toasty maltiness greets the nose for an excellent start to this beer. The impressive toastiness continues on in the flavor, which is also mildly sweet, malty, grainy, and balanced by a mild bitterness. Moderate body, and fairly clean from start to finish. Coppery amber color, totally clear, with an off-white head that again leaves a lot of patchy lacing on the glass as is fades to a small ring. Solid amber that manages to avoid the sweet caramel flavor that tends to dominate most ambers. Nice job.
