definetly my favourite lager beer from a can, great taste, better than anything else from a can. and it’s very cheap too! i can’t believe people are so harsh on this beer, you can’t say that something like heineken or budweiser is better. its great on draft too (staropramen).

Draught. High creamy and lasting white head. Hazy dark red brown body. Coffee caramel aroma with a spicy note. Low carbonated and rather sweet coffee caramel flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

[2197-20090523] 500mL bottle. Cooked chicken, peas, carrots and grainy beef stew aroma. Clear, dark yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Grainy bitter beef stew flavour has a mild medicinal note up front with a mildly fruity aftertaste. Medium body. It’s like smelling a whole meal!

Knut Albert (below) speculates that this beer is possibly brewed for the Irish market. I think he could be right. This beer is widely available over here and is part of the infamous 6 cans for €7 set. The other beers in this category are Bavaria, Tuborg and Dutch Gold. I think this beer is easily the best of that group and much nicer than most widely available lagers. Still, it’s hardly amazing to taste but does use considerably more hops than its contemporaries. Good beer fir its price.

A soft pils, but on the sweet side. Possibly brewed for the Irish market, as they seem to have a sweet tooth when it comes to lagers.

Bottle - I agree with Wobbler and KnutAlbert ( http://www.barkeeper.ie/News_Item.asp?News_ID=369 ) It is stupidly cheap and I just bought 10x 500ml bottles for €12.90, light yellow with a small head, very little aroma, slight bite with a slightly sweet-fruit finish, great value for money as its not a bad beer

Can. Clear yellow-golden, with white pillowy head. Aroma is soapy, florally. Light, reasonably bitter, with a bit of a metallic twang. Its one of the better cheap lagers around, but it seems to give me a headache afterwards...

Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet with mild malty and grainy notes.
