I find this beer, and Cuscuena to be virtually the same. This one however has a slightly smoother overall taste, but to me a rougher start. The Cuscuena is the opposite. This beer looks a little nicer when poured. The texture is good and head is a soapy medium weight white. I have to say I prefer Cuscuena, but for presentation Cristal is a little nicer.

Light yellow coloured and clear. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Light malty aroma, perhaps a yeasty note too. Moderate sweet flavor, light bitter finish. Creamy, watery texture. Soft carbonation.

Wow, the incompetence of pale lagers. I picked this brew up because I only had a few minutes left on the clock to pick up something, so I went to a local gas station. I have had everything there except for this crap, so I figured why the hell not. It poured a boring uneventful piss yellow color with a head that quickly vanished. It tasted like Heineken, so in other words pretty bad. Boring watery palate. Overall I won’t ever be drinking this again. Avoid if all possible!

A piss color beer with a decent fast disappearing head. The aroma wasn’t as skunky as others nor was the taste. It’s funny because when I finished the glass it didn’t look like anything had been in there. At least I got Peru for my countries.

Bottle that we found at some street market in Genoa, along with the Ecuadorian Club (yaay)
Poured a quite pale golden/yellow body with a medium sized thick white head that took its time to go away. Oily beans in the nose, some grain too. Light taste, cardboard and a very light hop background. Blah. Another day another country.

11/10 0.33 l bottle from a street market in Genova. It poured pale yellow body with medium sized head. Malty aroma of some cheap boring pale lager... Flavor is slightly eggy, dusty, predominately malty, but not something that couldn’t be drinked. Some honey and flowery finish. A boring beer, but I won’t complain too much over my first Peruan rate.

This is another in a crazy long line of nasty pale lagers from south/central america. Corn, skunky malts and hops. yuck.

330 ml bottle. From Essen, Germany. BB 05.09.09. Clear golden colour with small white head. Sweet sugary corny and slightly hoppy aroma. Cardboard, corn and some bitter hoppiness in flavour.

bottle: pint glass: no nose, nearly no taste... maybe some beer in there although not too sure. If I ever get the chance to go to Peru, I’ll be sure not to drink this.
