SuperDave70 (832), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 1, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Clear amber color with a small foamy white head. Sweet roasty caramel malt dominates the aroma. Flavor is similar, with hints of citrus. Some hops detectable on the finish. Not bad. hellbilly (912), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA May 3, 2008 tap at papago. pours a perfectly clear text book definition of amber with a creamy white head. there’s some light spotty lacing and the head sticks around as a film. sweet malty aroma with some graininess and fruit. the flavor is pretty much the same... a little earthy, some grassy hops and a lightly bitter finish. there’s a biscuity baking powder-like feel in the finish as well. AzJimmy (2), Phoenix, Arizona, USA does not count May 24, 2006 Manzanita Red is the best beer that i enjoy from PBC. Jan only brews this beer a few time a year. Hopefully your in Prescott when its on tap. Bockyhorsey (2033), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 8, 2005 Sampler, Sweet aroma of malts. Flavor had sweet citrus bite, somewhat acidic, Would have to say this is simular to a wine cooler with little more acidic bite. Dry finish. Good Beer. jstu9 (402), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2004 I had this at the Great Arizona Beer Festival in Phoenix. A normal beer. About average.
