hopdog (4552), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 Growler acquired in trade with Sparky27 (thanks!). Poured a dark brown color with a medium sized off white head. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jan 9, 2005 This is one of numerous ratings that I have found disappeared from my RateBeer inventory after comparing my lists. I don’t recall it as very good, so I’m rating it meiocre just as a placekeeper .. don’t take my word for it. egajdzis (2963), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 Poured a dark brown / tan color with a mocha colored, small head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, light cocoa, a bit of smoke, and some oatiness. Taste of roasted malts, light caramel, some cocoa, and nuts. Thinner mouthfeel. Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Mar 25, 2002 Brown to black, chocolate head, generous lace. Big nose, malt, hops, toasted grains, caramel. Front is malt sweet, the top medium, the finish nicely hopped, dry, acidic. Excellent porter, hearty, could be a light stout if not for the underlying sweetness. TomDecapolis (2407), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA May 6, 2008 Thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler. Pours a deep brown with a amber notes and a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of chocolate malt, some citrus notes, roasty, nuts, light pine and flroal and even some sugary malts. Flavor of some smoke, coffee notes, dark chocolate, roasted malt, earthy and some light hop bitterness.
