Pours a clear yellow straw-like color with a decent amount of foamy head. Aroma was mostly of grains and corn. The taste follows the aroma with some skunkiness. Light bodied, crisp and thin with high carbonation. Typical island beer.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Had this a million times while in the Dominican a few years back, only they called it "El Presidente" and it was literally about 50 cents a bomber at most bars in every town we went to. It wasn’t bad if you got it fresh - typical pale lager with some hay, grass, etc. The version that is springing up here in America everywhere is usually completely skunked because of the travel in green bottles. lct-stw, watery and bland but sometimes refreshing (if beer is cold and you are hot, dirty, and tired after a long walk around Santo Domingo). Niko100 (153), New York, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Not good, not bad. Refreshing, and still blows away every American macro. Not much to say about the taste, except it tastes like an American macro with everything better. A little hoppiness. Warning: Don’t let it get warm at all or the skunk comes out. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 13, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, pale golden with a high carbonation and a fizzy, thin, white head that leaves a light lacing. Aroma is semi-sweet corny grass with a pale bready pils malt and a trace of fruit. Flavor is similar with a light cereal sweetness, a touch of fruit, and a hint of grass. Finishes crisp and dry after a light, carbonated body. Overall, had this at some bar in NYC where it was this or BMC. I guess it was alright for a pale lager.
