| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Pours cloudy orange with white head, bright, hoppy, citrusy, floral aroma. A crisp, fruity flavor with that grassy bitterness at the end. I kept getting that cross between lemon and band-aid in my head - which is not necessarily as bad as it sounds. This is a clean, refreshing, drinkable beer that still has enough complexity.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2009 Tap at 4th Ave Pub. Pale golden-amber pour with a tight white head. The nose is intensely fruity with a lot of melon and pineapple aroma. A kiss of pear and light apple and a bit of dry spicing. Soft but insistent crackery pale malt note although it comes across more like 2 row than pilsner, it is still quite expressive with a nice light toastiness. The flavour is fairly subtle… light spice and melony fruit with a kiss of lemon and a fairly herbal hoppy note. It’s substantially different from most US saisons, but it hews to the line of what a good saison should be… dry, spicy and intensely drinkable. Great stuff. alagnak (359), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Bomber from theisti, by way of Ken, by way of Zipps in Mpls. Zippy (ha) hops in the nose, and a lot of peppery wheat. Taste is initially light citrus and big yeasty wheat with a floral hop bitterness and very dry, peppery finish. Light, pleasant aftertaste of wheat and citrus. Drinkable? Hell yes...this bomber lasted less than 30 minutes. This is my kind of Saison - dry and prickly with good hop character and the floral/citric/spicy notes all relatively light, yet well-married. The main ’plus’ is that those flavor profiles are coming from the yeast and not additions. Awesome stuff. Just a tad less carbonation and a little more in the nose department and this is world-class. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Draft at Rattle N Hum, NYC. Deep gold body with a fizzy, off-white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of clove, citrusy fruit, lemon, hay and with a hint of funky yeast. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Dry, but not saison dry. Some plasticy notes in the finish. Mediium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Slipstream (776), USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 3, 2009 On tap at Rattle’n’Hum. This is a dry, sharp saison. I could taste some vanilla and wheat, and some sourness and pine/menthol hop flavors too. Slightly herbal aftertaste. Complex and tasty - definitely a superior saison. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Blonde with a rich creamy head. Grassy and clean, indistinct herbal-tinged aroma redolent of new spring. Earthy, herbal flavors, perhaps of wintergreen? Fairly high amounts of European hops. Lightly peppered and phenolic with a crisp, bitter-sour, tannic herbal finish. rustychiles (1058), Mesa, Arizona, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Pour is orange with a huge large bubbled white pillow like head. Floral notes with spices and fruit. Very nice nose. Flavor is a bit muted, but otherwise very nice. Flavor really mimics the nose. A different take on the saison style, but quite nice. Good effort overall.
