Had original beer "Eh, brah, I got beer in my ear..", poured golden and formed huge white foamy head. Aroma of malted corn, light ocean water hops. Flavour much of the same, ends sweet, yet quaffably fresh. Too much will give you a tremendous headache. About $3.99 a sixer, as I recall.

Pours a ginger ale colored body, no head. Aroma is yeast, banana and clove. Flavor is bitter and palate is crisp but metallic. An alright beer.

pours a dark gold with decent head. Not much on the nose. Taste is sweet and metallic. Nothing special with this one.

Bottle… Clear yellow lager with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. The aroma is nearly non-existent, but I am finally able to pull a drop of honey and a rumor of warm mash from the glass. Light-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Once warm, the flavor is all honey and pale grain sweetness with very little hop bitterness to counter. Finishes crisp, lightly sweet, and then astringent.

pours golden yellow with a foamy white head... its got beer, but not everyone’s thought for a "great beer".

Honolulu, Hi - Whole Foods - 22 oz bomber. Medium gold pour, light white head, slight lace. Brief wet cardboard aroma. Flavor has some buttery notes, hint of metal, but not terrible overall. Somewhat of an oily mouthfeel. Noticed this beer as soon as I landed in Hawaii and remembered seeing the blue label with a warrior on it as a kid in California years ago.

Had the original (bottle, not draft) in Hawaii many, many years ago, tasted sweet, like Bud. Read the label, brewed in California, not that it means anything, but I wanted something exotic... not something brewed right near where I flew in from. Saw it on "Three Sheets" a couple of weeks ago and they said it was "all new" and brewed with "Island sugar." Grabbed a six here locally, tastes sweet, like Bud, still brewed in California, with the "Island sugar" shipped in, as the case with many other macro beers? Overall not a bad "Budsy" beer... Aloha and Cheers!

On tap, so I’ll assume that this was the actual Hawaiian product and the contracted Miller product. The pour was thin and clear gold. A short bit of white foam appeared. Not much lacing. The aroma was sugary sweet and lightly corny. The flavor followed suit. A thin pale lager that is dominated by sweetness.
