Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Bottled as "Konig Ludwig Weissbier". Very enticing aroma of coriander, citrus, sweet malts, and a hint of anise. The flavor was then disapponting. Not bad, but not what I was hoping. Sweet wheat flavor, lots of citrus, and a somewhat thin body. Bland finish. Something in there is slightly spicy, but it’s not enough to lift this beer to anything other than a mediocre hefeweizen.

Golden blond coloured beer with diminishing white head and only few carbonation. Malty fruity aroma. Bitter little sprankling palate. Hoppy and sweet finish.

On tap at Smokeless. An attractive hazy, bright yellow with moderate head....this draft version was refreshing with mild fruit flavour and not much bitterness to speak of. A decent summer thirst quencher.

Tap in Germany. Pours with a beautiful hazy yellow with a nice head and excellent lacing. Aromas of cloves, wheat and banana. Flavors of yeast, bread and a bit of hop bitterness. Quite refreshing and nice.
