gringo332 (236), Richardson, Texas, USA Apr 13, 2008 Good Cheap hef. It’s worth the $7 a six pack. Labeled as Konig Ludwig Weissbier Hefe-Weizen. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 13, 2008 I had as the alias Konig Ludwig Weissbier. It is especially tasty. It has an aroma of gum and banana. It looks hazy yellow nice head. It tastes of sweet fruit, malt, and some banana. It is rather smooth. It is not the best, but it is good. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 12, 2008 Updated: Dec 31, 2008One of the worst hefeweizens I have every had. Tasted with BMan1113VR. I thought that this one appeared to be filtered. Corney banana ester nose with some peanut butter and yeast. Taste is the same with wheat and short akward finish. Not good.
quite a bit better on draft. re rated. BMan1113VR (2757), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Apr 12, 2008 Labeled as Konig Ludwig Weissbier Hefe-Weizen. Drank with ilovedarkbeer. Large, thick white head with good retention. Filtered body. Clove, banana aroma. Taste is first of peanut-butter then clove and vanilla. Mediocre Hefe. Blom (390), Odense, Denmark Apr 12, 2008 Hazy yellow with a limited head. Sweet aroma of banana and perfumed chewing gum. Flavours of vanilla, yeast and banana.
shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 11, 2008 On tap as König Ludwig Weissbier. Very refreshing with light notes of citrus, banana and a bit of bubblegum and pepper. Classic flavours, but not overpowering or sickeningly yeasty like a lot of similar beers. A bit watery but highly drinkable. A near-perfect session Weizen. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Apr 7, 2008 This was a pretty good hef. Nice banana and clove on the nose, with a sweet honey aroma as well. Color was hazy golden. Flavor was sweeter, with some citrus, banana and clove. Finish was a bit drying, which cut the flavor, but still a nice beer. jbuzz (658), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Apr 7, 2008 I really liked this .. I got the hint of clover and cream. Very drinkable and enjoyable.
