Prinzregent Luitpold Weissbier Hell

50 cL bottle, as König Ludwig Weissbier Hell. Pours hazy orange with a dense white head. Light fruity and wheaty bubblegum aroma. Flavour is smooth wheaty and with a minor bubblegum note. Light caramel malt flavour into the finish. Smooth and nice.

Bottle at Tre Små Run, Göteborg. Named König Ludwig Weissbier Hell. Yellow/golden, white head. Malty banana aroma, some spices, a typical weissbier-aroma. Malty banana flavor, some spices, some pepper, fruity and rather balanced.

11.2 oz bottle (labeled Konig ludwig weissbier) poured into weizen glass- poured transparent golden yellow, medium semi-live carbonation, white head bubbled away quickly, aroma of yeast with light undertones of clove and bananas. Hits the mouth with a thin body, a touch of bitterness at the start, middle is full of wheat and banana, finish is a little watery and drops off sharply.

Konig Ludwig Weissbier is what the bottle reads. In short it looks, smells and feels like a Hefeweizen should. The flavor is a little mild but has the traditional combination of sweet, sour and bitter.

Pours a slight hazy yellow color with a thin white head. Weak aroma of yeast and citrus, with some banana and grain. Slightly watery palate. Not the best Hefe, but nice and refreshing.

0.5l bottle. Straw-coloured, borwnish when help up to the light. Very opaque with a weak head. Fresh banana smell with citric acidness well balanced with yeasty sweetness. weak watery bittery sour flavour. Watery beer with none of the robust bitter-sweetness you expect fromt he smell. It has an awkward dry sourness which doesn’t work well with the watery taste. Does have some very faint hints of banana.

Poured to a golden yellow with a thin head. Aromas of yeast and alcohol. Initial flavor of sweet fruitiness. Finish was sweet also. Watery.
