Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Pale gold appearance, pretty clear for a weissen, with a large white head and a small amount of lacing. Yeasty, wheaty aroma with some spicy esters. Light-to-medium bodied; thin, watery palate. Taste is grainy, fruity (with some residual sweetness), well carbonated. Tart finish; moderate duration.

Bottle, 50 cl. Cloudy yellow color, with big white head. Aroma weissbier, bit lemon, malts, yeast. Medium body. Taste like a good weisbier; fruity, yeast, citrus, ... Good.

Bottle poured a cloudy yellow with a small lasting offwhite head. Aromas of wheat, banana, citrus, bubblegum and light clove. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, banana, bubblegum, light citrus and a hint of clove with a smooth finish.

Konig Ludwig Weissbier bottle. Pours a lite blonde color with a creamy white head. Smells like bananas and yeast. Has a decent matching flavor and is good overall.

My bottle says Konig Ludwig Weissbier. Off tart aroma with a strong ale attitude. Rocky thin head, hazy light beige yellow color. Welcomed creamy carbonation. Fine texture. Wheaty flavors that are simple and enjoyable. No bitter taste or linger. Overall a nice example of the style. Unique tho on style!

RE-RATE: On tap at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours a hazy orange color with mango highlights and a huge white head. Aroma of orange peel, lemon, grassy elements, and coriander. Flavor is dry wheat, grassy, some zest, and with mango in the finish. Very drinkable, slightly watery body. Crisp and smooth. ORIGINAL-RATING: Bottle. Pours a very murky gold with some yeast sediment. A small stack of head lies on top. Decent lacing. Smell of wheat, cloves, citrus, banana. Flavor is skunky. Cloves, banana, hay, wheat. Unpleasant bitterness, but a watery finish.

this is not my favorite. It it has a solid taste when compared to other similar beers and the taste isn’t bad if not weak as swell as aroma

Bottle (Konig Ludwig Weissbier). Appearance: Hazy dark yellow, white head. Aroma: Fruity and wheaty. Banana, clove, hint of nutmeg. Palate: Medium/thin. Flavor: Banana, dough, clove. Pretty light and subtle all around. Overall: Not a horrible beer. This would be better on a summer afternoon.
