notalush (2627), Denver, Colorado, USA Dec 2, 2007 Sure, it isn’t exactly hefe weather, but sometimes you just need a hefe, and I’ve never had this one, so what the hell? - fizzy, cloudy yellow beer, with minimal head, and huge, chunky floaties that are so dense that they rapidly sink to the bottom on the glass - not very attractive - bright, fruity aroma, with notes of honey, tangerine, and apricot, along with a mild acidity, and a musty, earthy character - it’s got a nice spicy dry flavor at first, followed by a medium honey sweetness, and loads of floral character - fruity notes of apple, orange, peach, but no banana at all (a welcome change from most hefes) - a mild acidity keeps thing lively, and compliments the fruitiness - this beer may not look like much, but it’s pretty tasty. Classic Hefeweizen appearance, but a bit thin on the head. Gentle citrus/corriander aroma. Taste is oh-so-sweet, banana and caramel. glkaiser (1150), Seattle, Washington, USA Dec 1, 2007 On tap at Collins. Bright, cloudy yellow. Small head. Banana aroma and taste with just a little bit of citrus. A bit of hops in the finish. Snojerk321 (1917), San Diego, California, USA Nov 28, 2007 A pretty damn good Hefe. 12oz bottle BevMo Carmel.
