Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Had this in a bottle as Konig Ludwig Weissbier. Poured to a hazy lemon-yellow with a tint of orange, and a nice medium head that lingered long and left good lacing. Nose was a very pleasant and strong mix of ornages, cookie dough and clove, and the mouthfeel full and tingly. Flavor was a mild hop, again predominantly cookie dough, clove and orange, with just a hint of bubblegum at mid-glass. A very pleasant and tasty beer with a long satisfying finish. Perfect for a hot summer day.

Golden color that is cloudy with a small white head. The smell is wheat and citrus. The beer has a creamy medium body that has wheat and citrus with a hint of spice. The finish is smooth and easy drinking.

Golden yellow in color, medium whitehead. Smells lightly of orange. A slightly bitter wheat taste, with orange and coriander very much in the background. Swallows smoothly. A very delightful bier.

11.2 ounce bottle in weizen glass. Pours cloudy orange with lasting off-white head. Lots of banana and clove with a little lemon in aroma. Flavors of honey wheat grass banana with a little spiciness. Really very good and refreshing with all the right flavors and no bad ones.

Not too bad...not too good. Probably nothing I’d buy again. The after taste was...umm not my favorite.

THe bottle I had was labeled König Ludwig Weissbier. Reminded me somewhat of River Horse Tripel Horse. Very sweet, a good kick of it too but then fasdes out. Not much of and after taste. Milky/cloudy brownish color. Low in carbonation. Good.
