A fine hefe, refreshing lemon, wheat grain and yeast. The Bavarian weisse beers are amazing in the way you feel the echoes of the raw materials in the aroma of the beer. molassesfan (201), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jun 1, 2007 On tap at the Taphouse in Hampton. Pours cloudy gold with a lacy white head. Aroma of bananas and grain, maybe a hint of corn. Mild flavor with a bit of clove. Balanced finish that makes me want more. Very good hefeweizen. mannika (98), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 28, 2007 On tap at BeerBistro. Pours a nice cloudy amber-gold. Aroma is full and grainy, almost like fresh corn? Taste is very mild, as is the finish. Overall, a nice, light, summer beer, but nothing special. Allen (1285), Switzerland May 28, 2007 Bottled König Ludwig. 50cl. It pours as hazy yellow beer with a decent rocky white head. Rather sweet, a touch of spiciness, bananas and overripe apples, notes of plums, slightly bland taste, mouldy, a bit sour. Light grassy, toasty, citrussy finish. valpoaj (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA May 24, 2007 Bottle of Konig Ludwig Weiss. Citrusy and bready aroma rises from a traditional weiss pour. Very drinkable with a light finish, this brew has hints of yeast, lemon and spice. Although I can’t really pull the banana aroma out as many can, I definitely noted the flavor, particularly in the aftertaste. Somewhat unique, this was an enjoyable drink
