It has a light, yeasty aroma. The flavor is mild. It’s too mild even for the style. While the flavor is decent, there’s certainly nothing offensive here, and it is refreshing, it’s too bland and thin. There are far better hefeweizens around. flemmingwillum (234), København S, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Updated: Feb 24, 2009On tap in Berlin: Nice weissbier, with a more spicy and powerful falvor than much other. The banana and the (burnt) wheat taste is very obvious, and it makes the beer seem less watery than other weissbier at the same time. The aftertaste isn’t marked very powerful with hops, however, we must remember that this is a weissbier, and all in all it suits the beer very well. Not a beer with lacks on any point, but it could be more exiting to drink it... jimthechap (174), Christchurch, New Zealand
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2007 Tried bottled as Konig Ludwig in New Zealand. I have to say it travelled fairly well, the only disappointing thing about this beer was that the head didn’t hang around for long. All in all though, a lovely fluffy quaffable wheat beer with a nicely balanced palate and no need to add lemon to it (which I’m not a fan of anyway). Worth going back for, this one is the saucy blonde at the party who you may stand a chance with... OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Aroma of bannana, and a little clove. Flavor is lots of bannana, a little clove, and some yeast. Quite carbonated with a lively mouthfeel. Pretty refreshing and actually a little better than I expected it to be. LDawg (71), Rockport, Texas, USA

Mild banana and yeasty aroma. Thin head, dissipated quickly. Excellent flavor; sweet, with banana and yeast. Lots of carbonation. One of my favorites. bluesman42@gmailcom (43), Arkansas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 19, 2006 Bottle. I poured it over a lemon slice to add some sour. This cut down on the sweet, although the aroma still had the sweetness. The taste smacked as well of wheat very heavily. The palate was rather full for a weissbier, but not unpleasant. Overall, great in a glass over lemon, but I’d hate it straight. Haack (101), Hornslet, Denmark
