harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 13, 2006 Bottle, Konig Ludwig Weissbier Hell. Cloudy orange gold, thick off white head. Tangy lemon aroma, cereal/wheat. Light aroma, satisfying in mouth, more subtle lemon, over a full bodied malt/wheat combo, cereal lemon finish. Satisfying subtle beer. Theis (3617), Denmark Oct 8, 2006 Bottle at "Dæmningen 37" - shared with Mette, Henning, karen. Unclear yellow - white head. A lot of banana -> yeast. orange, light citrus, high carbonation. saxo (3513), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Sep 29, 2006 Bottle. Nice big head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is sweet and fresh with hints of banana. troyc (1173), Lubbock, Texas, USA Sep 26, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a hazy yellow with a decent white head. Yeasty and a little bit fruity as well. Some grassy notes as well. I like hefeweizens, but this one wasn’t very good. henrikb (1298), Aarhus, Denmark Sep 23, 2006 Draught – Hazy golden body, white head; Huge and a little vulgar nose with lots of banana, yoghurt and juice from ripe grapefruit; A little soft, a little bitter body, only little carbonation; Quite long, very aromatic finish (same aromas as nose). Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Sep 23, 2006 Hazy dull beige colour. Not much head by weizen standards. Aroma of sweat, banana, nutmeg, sour pears. Sweet & sour flavour with apple/pear notes dominating, banana sublimated and the malts come across more like icing sugar than anything else. Lifeless example marred by a misguided sense of balance, accenting all the wrong things. reakt (938), Greater London, England Sep 17, 2006 Updated: Sep 2, 2007König Ludwig Weiss - Originally sampled from draught but unrated until this bottle from Uto. Straw coloured with a light cream head. Aroma of yeast and banana with a taste to match. Crisp with a light start and rich finish. A firm favorite, well suited to the bannofie pie for dessert. larsga (2937), Oslo, Norway Sep 15, 2006 Updated: Mar 18, 2009Medium shiny lasting white head. Cloudy yellow body with light carbonation. Thin wheaty fruity aroma with spicy banana yoghurt notes. Sweet-acidic chalky fruity wheaty taste with spicy yoghurt notes. Fullish body. Quite delicate. Chalky, smooth mouthfeel. Dry-acidic chalky herbal grassy aftertaste. Nice, very drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Oslo-Kiel ferry. Rated twice.)
