Oct 14, 2006 Botted as König Ludwig Weiss. Pours a hazy light amber with a thick white head. Aroma of lemon and spice. Light body and active carbonation. Banana, cloves and wheat in the taste with a quick and dry finish. Yup, it’s a German Hefeweizen.

Oct 13, 2006 Bottle, Konig Ludwig Weissbier Hell. Cloudy orange gold, thick off white head. Tangy lemon aroma, cereal/wheat. Light aroma, satisfying in mouth, more subtle lemon, over a full bodied malt/wheat combo, cereal lemon finish. Satisfying subtle beer.

Sep 29, 2006 Bottle. Nice big head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is sweet and fresh with hints of banana.

Sep 26, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a hazy yellow with a decent white head. Yeasty and a little bit fruity as well. Some grassy notes as well. I like hefeweizens, but this one wasn’t very good.

Sep 23, 2006 Hazy dull beige colour. Not much head by weizen standards. Aroma of sweat, banana, nutmeg, sour pears. Sweet & sour flavour with apple/pear notes dominating, banana sublimated and the malts come across more like icing sugar than anything else. Lifeless example marred by a misguided sense of balance, accenting all the wrong things.
