fluffy (229), Florida, USA Jul 19, 2009 pours sunny gold with a think lasting head. aroma is yeasty and citrusy as expected. flavor is heavy on banana, orange and clove. finishes a little more bitter than expected but still bright and clean. a very good example of the style. TheHulk (104), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Jul 17, 2009 Smells very fruitish, a bit strangely. Nice hazy golden yellow with just a red tinge. Taste is quite muted by the overwhelming palate of thick wheat malt and the difference this plays out in the carbonation forming bubbles on your tounge. Very smooth, just a hint of malt aftertaste. rmussman (905), California, USA Jul 17, 2009 Sampled in Fussen. A really good hefe. Full of quality. Pours cloudy with a big thick head. A nice brew. Fullers74 (60), Denmark Jul 15, 2009 From bottle. Cloudy apperance. Smooth. Not that tasteful, just what I like about my Weissbier Chipper (179), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2009 Slightly cloudy golden color. Huge pillowy, white head, and considerable lacing.
Aroma of lemon, fruit, and a little spice. Very smooth, a little sweet, but perfect for summer. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 23, 2009 The colour was nice and clean until I swirled and dropped an A bomb of sediment into my glass. Great retention with the creamy white crown and some nice sticky lacing. The aroma was very bananaish the second I pried off the cap. Now it’s more ripe bananas, spice, yeast, bit of lemon and something that reminds me of a bag of flour. The lemon has more legs than you might expect. The taste is quite fresh but this does not taste as good as it did when I first cracked it (it’s still good though). A bit watery but the yeasty spice (clove) comes through first followed by light banana. There’s something at the very back of the sip that reminds me of chocolate but isn’t...actually, it’s more at the very end of the aftertaste. Seems a bit on the thin side but overall feels nice. Good carbonation that is just enough to give it a bit of zest. Soft mouthfeel. A decent beer, a nice mild version. liinis (695), Helsinki, Finland Jun 12, 2009 König Ludwig Weissbier in William K Mannerheimintie. Pale grayish yellow and a white head. quite neutral and uninteresting. easy drinking and fresh. OK
