thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark Jan 12, 2006 An acceptably weissbeer. Rather sweet but still a bitter aftertaste. Quite a lot of carbon dioxide compared to similar beers. A good thick, white head that stays for a while. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 9, 2006 Had this one in a bottle labeled "Konig Ludwig Weiss". The aroma is a good example of what this style of beer should smell like. It has malt, cloves, bananas, and sour kraut. The appearance is a cloudy and gold with a nice foamy head. The flavor is mildly spicy, and citrus like, while maintaining a good amount of malt and bitterness. The palate is soft and perfectly carbonated. It also has a sourness that gets you in the finish. This one is good. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Jan 7, 2006 Bottled.
Hazy yellow. Fruity, estery nose. Medium bodied. Soft mouthfeel, low on Co2. Notes of clove and banana. illinismitty (1790), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Dec 25, 2005 On tap under the Konig Ludwig Weiss label at Blind Pig in Champaign. Contrary to other ratings, I think this is a decent weiss beer. Pours hazy gold, typical. Very nice banana clove aroma. Taste has the right amount of sweetness, with hints of cloves, vanilla, yeast. I good session wheat beer. I was expecting worse. ELPADRINO (70), The Woodlands, Texas, USA Dec 14, 2005 Found under "Konig Ludwig Weiss" label. Pours light gold with half inch head. Aroma is light with cloves and apple. Flavor is medium sweet with cloves in the aftertaste. Flavor a bit weak, but cloves add an interesting note. Mockba (78), Denmark Nov 13, 2005 Very nice weiss-bier. Taste good and very easy to drink.
Nice label but borring bottle dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA Nov 9, 2005 Very filling, easy to drink to a point, then filling with a licorice like finale. definately one beer country. Nekronos (2243), Xalapa, Mexico Oct 29, 2005 Updated: Feb 8, 2006Was not that good, since I cannot remember much of this beer, only that was very dunkel, not a dunke one, but the colour.
