Jun 11, 2005 Bottle. Konig Ludwig Weiss. Typical weiss aroma with notes of banana with a mild splash of clove. Transparent golden color with a decent small white head. Start is nice and sweet with bananas and cloves. Middle is nice and milky. Finishes with a twinge of carbonation. A nice, run of the mill Hefe that was only $5.50 for a 6er. I’d buy this again.

Jun 10, 2005 Pours a hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma is slightly more peppery than most hefes and a little less sweet. Body has some good clove and banana yeastiness well balanced with crystal malt and German hops. Very smooth drinking and refreshing, a decent hefeweizen.

Jun 7, 2005 (Konig Ludwig Weiss) - Pours clear, golden with lasting head. Virtually no aroma. Creamy banana flavor lasts long, turning crisp. On the lighter side of a good weiss beer. Very clean aftertaste. Overall, very appealing.

Jun 1, 2005 Bottle (labelled as Konig Ludwig Weiss). Pours hazy and golden-orange, like a good hefe should. Aroma of citrus, banana, horseblanket and some wheat. The sour-mustiness was unexpected but welcome. Tart citrus and wheat dominate the flavor across the tongue. There’s also some (good) sourness and some spices (clove mostly) lingering in the background. The spices pick up steam at the back of your throat as does a refreshing dryness that begs you to take another sip. As it warms, banana and sweet citrus start to present themselves. This is a great hefe (although I have to admit that I am a big hefe fan) and one that I’ll seek out again. Thanks go out to my father for finding this one.

May 30, 2005 Orange gold color, slightly hazy. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is banana and clove, sweet. A medium bodied Hefeweizen. Malts are fruity and sweet with lots of banana and clove flavors. Hops are slightly spicy. Light and refreshing. Smooth creamy taste. Good flavors. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

May 28, 2005 Fantastic aroma with grape and GOOD yeast, Creamy excellent lasting head, acitic in taste, but average finish. You can feel grapefruit both when you smell lokk and taste this good weissbeer.
