AAO (102), Næstved, Denmark Dec 9, 2004 taste and aroma the same... sweet sour wheat but it is not good. It´s missing a balance. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 6, 2004 Some banana clove aroma, sweet, atop mild wheat grainy smell. Mild skunkiness. Hazy golden amber with fluffy off-white lacing head. Medium body with active carbonation. Starts with good banana ester wheat flavor, bit of citrus tang. Low acidity, but with mild carbonic burn. Light fruity wheaty finish and mild chalky after. Low bitterness overall, and nice estery undertones with some spice. Dorqui (1353), Brescia, Italy Dec 5, 2004 Adherent foam of medium persistence. Color clearly much loads and veiled. Opaque and dense. Incredible crisp detaches one, indeed and much persistent fort. Medium body of good structure. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Dec 4, 2004 Bottle. Malt aroma with banana and cherry - very nice. Yellow tan color - slightly cloudy with ample, lasting head. Slightly tart malt flavor - subtle banana/clove- not much sweetness. Nice full body. A nice Weizen more on the malt side. wnhay (722), Princeton, New Jersey, USA Nov 18, 2004 Updated: Mar 20, 2005 This is a good beer because it has banana and wheat combined in the taste. Also it is sweet but not too sweet. The percentile is too low I think it should be higher then that. The aftertaste is pleasant. The aroma is the only thing that didn’t cut it for me. Good stuff. Nesta13 (202), Australia Nov 6, 2004 (bottle) This is a hefeweizen that you won’t be dissapointed in. It’s so characteristic of the style; with its slightly cloudy bright orange body and fruity clove notes. Very very smooth. I often feel let down by bottled hefeweizens but this was a winner. CampbellWilson (533), Scotland Oct 24, 2004 Draught ’Konig Ludwig Weiss’ in the Beer Bar, Glasgow, correct glassware. Large creamy head, uniformly cloudy, good level of carbonation and not served too cold. Yeasty wheat aroma, little bit of banana. Good mouthfeel, refreshing slightly acidic aftertaste. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Oct 21, 2004 König Ludwig Weiss is what I drank and that’s what’s available in my area. I don’t understand this name bit. Be that as it may, not a bad hefeweizen. Cloudy yellow with a frothy white head, it has a mild banana and spice aroma. Good tasting with touches of other fruits. Very clean, refreshing finish.
