Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

(50cl bottle) Pours a large, frothy, white head and a cloudy, lightly-carbonated, lemon-coloured body. Nose is somewhat tart and yeasty with bananas and cloves. Nice, smooth mouthfeel - not too fizzy. Rather enjoyable flavour and lemony-tartness. Good.

Keg (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Oktoberfest 2004) Classic Hefeweizen appearance, but a bit thin on the head. Gentle citrus/corriander aroma. Taste is oh-so-sweet, banana and caramel.
