Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Although they don't know how to make a decent pilsener, the germans sure can brew good wheats! This one is a fine piece of german wheat brewing. Very tasteful on a hot day climbing the mountain to Schloss Neuschwanstein!

Hazy lemon gold colour with a shortlived head and moderate condition. Delicate banana and clove aromas, slightly tart in the mouth with a phenolic edge and a sweet banana and yeast finish.

Starts slightly cloudy dirty yellow. Brightens as it settles in the glass. Light yeast aroma. Very smooth palate. Not a lot of spice or complexity. An excellent beverage for hot summer weather.

as konig ludwig weisbier hell. clody yellow, thick offwhite head. aroma is flowery and sweetish. flavor is peachy, sweetish, yeast, quite roudn and mild, but otherwise an ordinary weiss.. lacks a touch of citrus imo.

Medium shiny lasting white head. Cloudy yellow body with light carbonation. Thin wheaty fruity aroma with spicy banana yoghurt notes. Sweet-acidic chalky fruity wheaty taste with spicy yoghurt notes. Fullish body. Quite delicate. Chalky, smooth mouthfeel. Dry-acidic chalky herbal grassy aftertaste. Nice, very drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Oslo-Kiel ferry. Rated twice.)

Served on tap in the Hahn Hotel bar in Munich. Very delightful wheat beer. Cloudy deep gold in appearance with a herculean foam head. Rich aroma of fruit, grain, and esters. Beer so think you could chew it. Flavors give way to an instant dryness. Crisp aftertaste leaves you wanting another. Maybe that is the brewer’s strategy? Outstanding billboards at nearly all DB stations in Munchen. UPDATE 3/2009: On tap at the Huber Haus. See? I didn’t even need to go to freakin’ Munchen to try this beer.

Probably the most aromatic wheat I have had. Tons of citrus aroma with some banana and coriander. Clearer apperance than I like for a wheat. Good flavor, sweet with citrus.

(Labelled as König Ludwig Weissbier) Cloudy orange/yellow colour with a large fluffy white head. Banana and wheat in aroma with distinct souishr undertone. Soft sticky wheat flavour with light banana esters. Cloves and banana in the aftertaste.
