Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Bottle, at Benny. Light yellow with a white head, quickly gone, no lacings, unfiltered. Aroma light malty, yeasty and hoppy. Flavor light sweet and acidic/yeasty. Light body, watery, soft carbonated. I think my bottle was to old.

Big white head. Yellowish color. Fruity aroma particularily bananas. Wheat in the smell and the taste. Not bad but not great.

Quite light. Nose is predominantly banana/wheat, flavor is more of the same. A bit of sweetness as well, but not much depth at all. Finish is practically nonexistent, after the swallow it largely disappears.

Draught: Cloudy orange-yellow with thick white head. Light yeast aroma. A good beer but too light on the hefe and the weizen.

Hazy golden with a firm white head. Tart wheat and black pepper aromas. Clove estery flavor with grainy malt grist andmild tart wheat. Good with a pizza.

On tap at the bavarian grill. hazy yellow with a fat fluffy white head. aroma of peppered bananas. straight wheat/banana flavor, nice malt finish. leaves an apple/banana flavor that is enjoyable.

König Ludwig Weiss, on tap, Virginia Beach Brewfest. Yeasty nose and a white head cover a pale yellow beer. Rather carbonated. Taste the wheat, big time. Clean, fresh finish. OK weiss.
