Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aromas of bread/grains/ and some citrus. Had a taste of cheerios with some lemon or orange.

Had this on tap at The Blind Pig, Champaign, IL. Cloudy amber with a weak off-white head. Aroma of wheat and malt sweetness and some spices but all was faint and unimpressive. Thin bodied and watery texture. Flavor was watered down, wheaty, slightly sweet. Rather boring. Disappointing.

On tap under the Konig Ludwig Weiss label at Blind Pig in Champaign. Contrary to other ratings, I think this is a decent weiss beer. Pours hazy gold, typical. Very nice banana clove aroma. Taste has the right amount of sweetness, with hints of cloves, vanilla, yeast. I good session wheat beer. I was expecting worse.

Cloudy beige colour. White, rocky head. Clove and banana aroma. Slightly sourish, yeasty and very quenching. A bit thin though.

Skunky aroma. Very thin, clear yellow and fizzy. You can taste the wheat, but this is an overly sweet beer that masks its low quality with sugar.

Sampled from a 12oz bottle. Hazy with a golden honey hue. Trace white head. Yeasty with the typical banana note. Lively and crisp. Mild palate. Citrus and banana. Typical...
