Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Bottle, 50 cl. Cloudy yellow color, with big white head. Aroma weissbier, bit lemon, malts, yeast. Medium body. Taste like a good weisbier; fruity, yeast, citrus, ... Good.

50 cl bottle (as König Ludwig Weissbier Hell, abv is 5%). Hazy orange golden color, big creamy white head. Aroma is wheat, yeast and fruit (banana), hints of smoke. Flavor is wheat, yeast and fruit. Interesting, but a bit thin flavor.

Draught, served with a slice of lemon. Fresh banana aroma. Cloudy, orange. Large, white head that quickly erodes, perhaps from the acidity of the lemon. Very solid and flavorful, but also has a very carbonated mouthfeel. Pretty good weissbier.

Interesting, it has all the hallmark signs of a true weiss -- light clove and banana aroma, pillowy head (almost), but almost no creaminess to the body. The feel is barely there at all. That says it all.

Bottle. Never seen this before until the other day when I went to the grocery store. Pours out a darker yellow color with a big white head that goes away pretty fast. Smell has some banana notes and some lemon flavors, but not really very heavy on them. Smells just pretty much like beer. Taste has some nice clove and banana flavors, but this cannot stand up to the better hefes out there. Still, very drinkable, and pretty pleasing overall. I will drink it again.

Body is straw colour and hazy with lots of bubble action. White foamy head started large but settled pretty quickly. Aroma of wheat, malts, banana and floral notes. Flavour is wheaty with a lemon-citrus tange to it. Finish is a bit thin but still pretty smooth.
