Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

a well-made but unremarkable weiss. nice balance of hallertau (more than usual) (which i like), bread, vanilla and just a touch of banana - not much ester at all. creamy and perfumey, nice mouth filling texture with just enough tang at the finish. boring but likeable.

This was a pretty good hef. Nice banana and clove on the nose, with a sweet honey aroma as well. Color was hazy golden. Flavor was sweeter, with some citrus, banana and clove. Finish was a bit drying, which cut the flavor, but still a nice beer.

Pours somewhat cloudy with a abruption of head that soon dies out. Aroma is a light with bavarian hops, banana and wheat. Flavor is made of the same thing with a thin soapy body but all in all is easily drunk and enjoyed.

Tall draft at Aurelio’s Pizza (Frankfort, IL). A Surprising addition to the draft menu at this fantastic pizza place. Poured a nice hazy yellow with a very inviting billowy white head that sticks around and laces. Aromas are very banana, clove, and notes of citrus. Taste is very similar. Refreshing, quenching with a nice more dominant citrusy lemon flavor (Surprising, since I used to consider this a largely banana Hefe). Sweet fruity esters are a bit light, but very enjoyable but aid in the refreshing feel. A very inviting Hefe that is good, but not in the top echelon.

Wheaty grain nose. Big creamy white head. Cloudy golden orange, with turbulent carbonation. A very refreshing hefe, moderately sweet, acidic, wonderful citrus notes, creamy body, finishing acidic and crisp. Nice and rounded brew

(Bottle) Pours a hazy yellow with a decent white head. Yeasty and a little bit fruity as well. Some grassy notes as well. I like hefeweizens, but this one wasn’t very good.

On tap at olbaren in Copenhagen. Very pleasant weiss beer, cloudy yellowing color with typical german nose with a nice sweet taste.
