Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

(Bottle) Pours a hazy yellow with a decent white head. Yeasty and a little bit fruity as well. Some grassy notes as well. I like hefeweizens, but this one wasn’t very good.

On tap at Collins. Bright, cloudy yellow. Small head. Banana aroma and taste with just a little bit of citrus. A bit of hops in the finish.

Malty and citrus aroma. Hazy yellow / orange colour with a thick frothy white head. First taste was banana and light malt. finishes very lightly bitter. Easy to drink, but light on flavour.

Pours a slight hazy yellow color with a thin white head. Weak aroma of yeast and citrus, with some banana and grain. Slightly watery palate. Not the best Hefe, but nice and refreshing.

Cloudy honey color with a large creamy white head. Aroma of yeast and fruit( maybe apple but no banana). Mainly a yeast/grain flavor with a hint of fruit and spices on the sides and back of the mouth. Finish is slightly dry.

Had this one under the alias "Konig Ludwig Weiss" on draught in St. Charles, Illinois. Very light for a wheat brew, dissapointing finish and aroma. Redish and hazy appearance, with little head. I would call this substandard of the genre.

Konig Ludwig Weissbier; nice label and cap. Pours a dark hazy yellow with a huge, frothy, white head and excellent lacing. The aroma is a yeasty citrus and grass with a light bubble gum note in the background. Thin to medium-bodied with average carbonation and a clean finish. The flavor is citrus, bubble gum and bananas with a crisp wheat finish. This is one of the best hefe’s I’ve ever tried--a must try for anyone that likes wheats.
