smell of wheat, some citrus, and a little spice.
taste is creamy, banana, yeast, a touch of spice, and some citrus, ends a little on the creamy side.

Nov 12, 2003 Bought in the 500ml brown bottle, with the simple yet effective yellow label with crest on front.
This is a very nice looking beer when poured..deep golden straw coloured beer..that is quite attractivly hazy..with a large pure white frothy head, it shrank but vestiges remained until the beer was finished.
Mmmmm very nice strong German hefe aromas..quite fruity ,loads of banana aroma..and the sourness of the wheat can be detected.
Wow this is a very easy drinking beer..but it is loaded with flavour..bananas, spice, fresh wheat..and a nice mild aftertatse.
Very comfortable on the tongue.
An exceptionally drinkable weissbier..and at a good price excellent beer..I recommend this!

Aug 3, 2003 Chunky seidment bottomed out in this beer, interesting. A very tastey hefe, not too much banana and clove like the rest. Sweet and refreshing, full of flavor.

Dec 28, 2004 Hmm, interesting. Yup, its a wheatbeer. Whats the deal with that? Do people really enjoy this style? Well, I dont and I think thats why I dont have too much to say about this one.Had it on tap at the blind pig in champaign Illinois, they use its other name, Konig Ludwig Weiss.

Apr 21, 2007 cloudy and pale gold. foamy head and decent mouthfeel (medium body) . thin bubbles that dissapear and leave their pleasant banana and spice taste. butter and scotch pronounced flavors that are not overdone. mild alcohol notes that altogeather produce a pleasant experience that you can just sit back and enjoy. i’m having a little chocolate and sweet fare seems ideal!

Nov 9, 2002 I had the Konig Ludwig version at an Irish Pub. Hazzy yellow in color with a very thin head, aroma of bananas and lemons. Very sweet banana flavor with a little spice and bubble gum.

Jul 17, 2006 I thought this was a very nice wheat beer. Poured a dark cloudy yellow with a small white head. Citrus flavors and spice make up the taste and the finish was refreshing. A good beer.

Apr 28, 2003 Glowing golden yellow with a very fine haze. Thin white head. Spotty lace. Estery nose with notes of cloves bread, and sweetness. Sweet front. More complexity comes out in the middle--bananas, cloves, brown sugar, butterscotch. Light and fluffy mouthfeel. Only the slightest hint of hops in the finish. Mild, refreshing, and elegant.
