Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Pours hazy yellow with medium white head that fades. Aroma of cloves, lemon, banana. Taste is moderate heffe-weisse, fairly smooth, not too sour with a pepper ginger character. Bit bitter in the finish but nothing lasting. Lively with a carbonation hits the tongue and leaves a fizzy mouthfell.

As König Ludwig Weisse, from tap. Text book weizen, it’s all there and no surprises. Banana, pretty average yeastiness. Very sparkling carb!

A very nice German wheat beer. Nice and creamy, but perhaps a bit less sweet (and complex?) than Erdingers. Tried on tap.

Bottle.50cl. dont like the aroma hop´s in this one, but the taste is stong from the yeast and i do like that, so the taste is fine for me.

Bottle brown, 500 ml, 12 P
Appearance: Pours surprisingly with smaller head than ’Konig Ludwig Dunkelweizen’, head is initially moderate, snowy white, rocky - frothy, quite irregular in structure, slowly decreasing to small froth floating on the body surface, carbonation of the body is lively, lacing is decent.
Aroma: Very nice, pronounced, mature aroma of wheat, yeast, barley malt, juicyness, notes of banana, carrot, aroma is very strong and not typically, very intensive, clover, accidity, flowery hops, sweet oriented&aromatic.
Flavour: Very nice, full taste, grains of barley malt and wheat, clover, banana, slight saltyness on palate, daugh, floral gentle hoppyness, gentle carbonation on palate, bready, finish duration is long.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is smooth, wattery to creamy, carbonation on palate is moderate to lively, finish feel is slightly chalky and moderate astringent.

Cloudy bronze with a big, long lasting foamy head. This weiss is pretty light on for everything. There is slight aroma flavour and finish of coriander and citrus. More intensity required.

This beer pours a cloudy very light yellow color with a mild white head and a nice but not overbearing amount of lacing. The aroma is somewhat repulsive with lemon, citrus and barnyardy banana aroma’s being good, and leather, salt and smoky meat aroma’s being bad..... just very very strange. It smelled something like a Lunchable you’d find on a supermarket shelf (it’s one of those smells that never escapes you from when you were a child..it just sort of haunts you for the rest of your life). The flavor is medium bodied and well carbonated. The flavor is once again very salty and lemony with a heavy hot dog flavor.... yes.. i said hot dog flavor, however it gives way to a more subdued lemon/citrus combo as it warmed. Very salty, lemony and oily...impossible to get a grasp on this beer. I don’t exactly know what they were trying to convey, but I now feel dumber for having tried this....

Pale gold, good white head, lightly spicy nose with some nice fruity notes as well, quite light in body, but has a good full flavour...spice and fruit...and some malt which lingers on the finish...good stuff.
