Heavy chill haze (not yeast) which was a surprise. Good head retention, pale yellow with almost green tinges. Pretty high carbonation (surprise!) Banana, clove, freshly yeasty aroma. Flavour is spritzy and refreshing but not a great deal going on. It's a nice beer but not up to the standards of other Weizens.

I really enjoyed this beer. Maybe because it’s finally getting warm. Had the typical look and aroma you’d expect. Flavor was light and tasty. Licorice, banana, clove. Good stuff.

Draft under the name Konig Ludwig - A great Weiss beer. This beer was excellent with a yeast, wheat, sweet flavor without that typical old wheat aftertaste. Could have drinken all day long. Great with or without a meal.

Aroma is sweet, banana, clove, and wheat. Taste is fizzy, lemon, banana wheat. Pours with a straw/golden hue, a huge head, and a very nice aroma of clove-centric banana. The appearance and the aroma are promising, but the taste is over-carbonated, and somewhat jumbled in it’s strange lemony mix of flavors. Overall, a good beer, but not world-class.

Pale yellow/brown with subdued head. Flavor is primarily of orange, with a sweet, thin aftertaste. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin yet still somehow creamy. Kind of like a creamsicle. One of the better wheats I’ve tried.

Labeled as Konig Ludwig Weissbier. Pours a very hazy, dirty orange color with a nice thick head that does settle down kind of quickly. Aroma isn’t bad with yeast, bananas, vanilla, cloves. Much of the same flavor with quite a bit of yeast and a citrusy, vanilla, wheaty flavor. As the case with many hefe’s I’ve had before the finish is rather bland leaving me wanting a little more. Perhaps a touch more spice would do the trick. Still it’s pretty good and definitely a refreshing beer for a warm day.

Hey, this stuff taste like beer. Yea, I guess I probably shouldn't rate beers when I am on my 12th or so, my comments get even more bizzare then usual.

Tasted 09/07/2008. 500ml bottle from New World Thorndon. Hazy pale yellow gold, creamy white head that doesn’t linger a long time. Nice banana esters, a little clove and wheat - fresher than I expceted. Good in the mouth, filling the mouth with lively carbonation and malt and banana ester sweetness but still slender enough to be drinkable. Mild phenols and wheaty mealiness bring me back for more. Certainly felt like another one at the end. Very simple but I think this is very much along the lines of the Weissbier I’ve been looking for. Very nice for a beer that has come this far.
