Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

This is a good beer because it has banana and wheat combined in the taste. Also it is sweet but not too sweet. The percentile is too low I think it should be higher then that. The aftertaste is pleasant. The aroma is the only thing that didn’t cut it for me. Good stuff.

On tap at the Beer Bistro in Toronto. (There called Konig Ludwig Weiss.) Translucent yellow-gold with good head and nice lacing. Aroma and taste are both typical, if unspectacular. There is really nothing to it that can’t be found (with more complexity) elsewhere. Having said that, it’s a nice, drinkable summertime beer.

First off, this is the cloudiest/haziest weisse I have ever tried. It looks like it would be a world class beer, let’s find out. Pours great with an immense white head, sticks around for a long time. The smell is of citrus and banana, the banana redolence overpowers the citrus. Fantastic mouthfeel for a weisse, not too bubbly, nice and balanced. Flavor is great, perhaps a little on the weak side, still a decent beer. Good stuff.

On tap as König Ludwig Weissbier. Very refreshing with light notes of citrus, banana and a bit of bubblegum and pepper. Classic flavours, but not overpowering or sickeningly yeasty like a lot of similar beers. A bit watery but highly drinkable. A near-perfect session Weizen.

On tap. Hazy dark yellow color with big rocky head. Not much clove aroma or taste, but with a lemony refreshing flavor. Typical German wheat beer, but refreshing.
