Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Pale yellow lemonade color with a faint glimpse of mist. Nice thick creamy white head & sheets of lacing. The aroma is malty with torrified wheat & banana/clove esters, honeydew melon and a little sharp alcohol present. The flavor is full of sweet fruit & nice wheat & bavarian wheat esters. Finishes citrusy & smooth. Very nice german wheat but a bit sharp on delivery.

Bottled. A floral wheaty aroma to this very hazy murky light brown beer. The taste is floral and fruity but a bit thin. I’m still struggling to appreciate this style

One of my favourite wheat beers. Creamy and zesty at the same time. Shame the finish isn’t longer, though.

Bottle from State Line. Turbid deep gold pour with 2-finger whitish head. Aroma of intense hopcitrus, clovey spice, and pale malt. The taste was spicy, with a pronounced clovey hit, plus malty, with finishing floral, citric, and hop notes. This one is decent.

Pale yellow with a lasting white head. Weak aroma has clove and very little banana. Dry malty flavour with a little clove and the tiniest touch of citrus. Solid and refreshing weiss.

Hazy gold with a nice dense white head. Spicey banan aroma. Sweet banama aroma and light vanilla . Creamy mouthfeel and pleasant. Thanks to Piscator. (Sept. 2004)

12oz import bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (cereal), lightly yeasty (dough), with light notes of DMS, clove, and apple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Egads, what a terrible wheat beer...embarrassing. DMS and adjuncty aroma leads to a nearly flavorless and dirty mouth experience. Total and complete drain pour.
