Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Draught. At Smokeless Joe, as "Konig Weiss". Cloudy somewhat pale orange, large and lasting creamy-foamy white head. Pleasant fruity sweet malt aroma, not too much banana, light lemon and dry hops, some sharp peppery yeast that began to dominate as it warmed. The taste is a little bland and watery, definite wheat character, the fruit sweetness fades quickly - won’t make me forget the Denison’s any time soon, but quenching on a hot day on the patio. Surprisingly solid body considering the watery palate, not too sweet, lightly syrupy with a very quick finish - ever so slightly bitter aftertaste from the yeast. Decent.

On Tap @ Beer Bistro as Konig Ludwig Weissbier500 ml
Appearance :Thick haze of muddy, golden peach with solid creamy crown.3+
Nose :Clean, fruity true traditional wheat character is shown. Slightly citric background.
Flavour/Palate: Mellow palate , soft texture with medium depth. Clean wheat. This one is with charcteristical softness. Low acidity, rather on sweeter side. More tangy at finish. Overall quiet good with session like attitude. Old school is welcomed.

Orange gold color, slightly hazy. Large sized white foamy head. Aroma is banana and clove, sweet. A medium bodied Hefeweizen. Malts are fruity and sweet with lots of banana and clove flavors. Hops are slightly spicy. Light and refreshing. Smooth creamy taste. Good flavors. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Bottle. Pours a barely hazy gloden yellow body with a big creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty, very muted banana and citrus. Nice wheaty tartness. Very quaffable but nothing like I had hoped, seems almost filtered, lacking much of the yeasty chewiness and flavours I’d expect in a hefe. Nice medium bodyied palate but again it is lacking from what it could be. Very nice beer that unfortunately paled in comparison to my expectations. Thanks for the bottle Joe McPhee.

This brew poured a medium white head of fine white bubbles and a cloudy straw yellow body with a malty aroma. Its flavor was that of a yeasty banana wheat.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with thin white head. Aroma is wheat, sweet malt, and light fruit. Nice wheat character for what is. This was okay.

Bottle. Cloudy orange glow hue with an average foamy white head. Pretty regular Hefeweizen, not bad but nothing spectacular. Aroma was citrus, clove, yeast, banana, wheat. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation. Flavor is light sweet with some bitterness; especially the finish is citrus and light bitter notes.
