Jul 20, 2004 (Tapped) Orange, opaque color with a small head. Mild aroma with yeast and wheat, plus a hint of banana. Some banana in the flavor, which is dryish for a weizen. Slightly stingy, medium-bodied, medium-carbonated palate. A quite smooth, but somewhat tasteless and uninteresting weizen.

Feb 27, 2005 Shiny yellow with a creamy head. Orange-gristy with a strong yeast presence. Classic weizen character in a light way.

Sep 29, 2006 Bottle. Nice big head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is sweet and fresh with hints of banana.

Tried as "König Ludwig Weissbier Hell"
(50 cl bottle from the ordering section of Systembolaget)
Clear straw yellow color, huge lasting whtie head. Turns shady once the bottom yeast sediment hits the glass. Spicy yeasty and estery banana scent. Malty sweet and estery banana taste. High co2 mouthfeel, low bitterness. Malty and banana afteraste.

Oct 24, 2002 I havent had many German Weisens but this one was really good. Extra sweet- maybe from unmalted (torrified) wheat? So sweet and smooth without too much spices and hops. Great beer overall.
