A beer to recomment. ARMed (485), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 10, 2007 My favorite weiss beer. Simple but the perfect blend of aroma and flavor. Not the most complex weiss beers but certainly a tremndous brew with strong flavors. Golden cloudy coulor, very foamy thick head, WOW very nice one perfect balance, of banana, citrus, yeast, perfect smell, very refreshing. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Jan 31, 2006 Updated: Mar 10, 2007Pours a lemon honey color w/ a medium sized, semi creamy froth that slowly reduces to full lacing. Aroma is bright w/ musty boot leather. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. A slightly earthy style weissbier with mellow citrus rind fruit and a smooth finish. Well ballanced yet beholding a complexity not found in most hefeweizen brews. I really like the pronounced leathery aroma and flavor. Reminds me of wet bird feathers. PerfectIy carbonated, good hang time. rampmaster (314), Alden, New York, USA Jul 10, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz. bottle into a weizen glass. The body was cloudy and had a cool, golden yellow color with visible carbonation. Its head is thick, creamy and bright white in color. It slowly fades to a thin cap that hangs on till the last sip and leaves nice lace on the glass. There is an inviting aroma of wheat, clove, fruity yeast and banana. The flavor has a good wheat malt base with fruity yeast that has notes of banana. Mellow herbal hops, spicy clove and a touch of lemon round out the flavor on a smooth creamy palate with a medium body and lively carbonation. It finishes somewhat dry with some lingering wheat and dry earthy tones. This is a great example of a German hefeweizen. The balance is spot on for the style and it is wonderfully refreshing and very easy to drink.
Bodomite (34), USA Jan 29, 2004 Very good brew. Unfiltered and cloudy. Nice head. Kind of a sweet taste that goes down good with a meal. I would reccomend this to anyone who loves hefeweizen! sarafist (8), Oregon, USA does not count Oct 18, 2004 Great hefeweizen. Light head, with good lace. Sharp, fruity/floral aroma and initial flavor that lellows into a hay flavor. A little thin and sharp in mouth feel, but excellent nonetheless.
