Jan 4, 2007 Tried bottled as Konig Ludwig in New Zealand. I have to say it travelled fairly well, the only disappointing thing about this beer was that the head didn’t hang around for long. All in all though, a lovely fluffy quaffable wheat beer with a nicely balanced palate and no need to add lemon to it (which I’m not a fan of anyway). Worth going back for, this one is the saucy blonde at the party who you may stand a chance with...

Sep 20, 2002 I had the bottle labelled Konig Ludwig. Clean and light, with a lightly spicy and lemony aroma. Appearance was a very pale cloudy yellow with smallish fizzy head that quickly dissipated. Flavor was light and mainly lemony, refreshing.

May 27, 2003 Pear gold with nice grainy white head. Moderately yeasty aroma, moderate banana. A rock-solid weiss -- banana, bubblegum, fizz. Slightly tart on the lips and in the finish, solid mouthfeel. Nothing spectacular, but pretty good.

Feb 15, 2003 On tap under name Konig Weiss. Typical cloudy/pale yellow color with strong scent of cloves. Very fresh, served with garnish wedge of lime. Subdued banana and bubblegum. Very refreshing.

Jun 10, 2005 Pours a hazy golden yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma is slightly more peppery than most hefes and a little less sweet. Body has some good clove and banana yeastiness well balanced with crystal malt and German hops. Very smooth drinking and refreshing, a decent hefeweizen.

Jul 13, 2008 Cloudy orangey gold, with a thin white head. Biscuity, mildly citrusy aroma. Smooth, soft palate. Crisp citrus flavors mix with a mild herbal note. Spicy finsh. Becomes slightly more fruity as it warms.

Aug 4, 2005 A typical German Hefeweizen. This was in a brown bottle (which is not typical for many German beers) which may account for the lack of skunkiness.

Feb 8, 2007 Cloudy and golden.Wheat totally dominates and it left plenty of lacing.Not a style I would go out of my way to drink but if i had to this is the one i would chose.
