The aroma is peppery with clove notes and only a touch of banana fruitiness but I’d say it’s more spicy than anything. Soapy mouthfeel and there are flavours of bubblegum. Spicy notes are prevalent here again along with some lemon tartness in the finish. Pretty decent overall.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2003 Served in a tall Konig Ludwig glass, without a lemon. The beer was just like every german wheat, hazy pale yellow with a very dense pale white colour. The aroma was subdued, not too much to it. A few floral notes, and the typical yeastie smell. The taste was mild but pretty good. Defiately easy on the palate with no complex flavours to deal with. A great all-around german wheat which should be tasted if you can find it. Tasted on Tap under the name: Konig Ludwig Weissbier at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York. cb (809), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

Got somewhat cloudy towards the bottom of the glass. Definitely not uni-dimensional, like so many wheats are. Perfect carbonation. microdyke (360), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2003 A cloudy dark straw color with a white head that is slightly frothy. The aroma is of banana and wheats. The flavor of bananas has some bitterness and lots of wheaty aftertaste. cornhusker01 (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

This beer was wheaty with a strong lemon element. This was an enjoyable beer. guzzler67 (1285), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2008 Pale gold appearance, pretty clear for a weissen, with a large white head and a small amount of lacing. Yeasty, wheaty aroma with some spicy esters. Light-to-medium bodied; thin, watery palate. Taste is grainy, fruity (with some residual sweetness), well carbonated. Tart finish; moderate duration. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 19, 2003 Poured a medium size white head that did not last long. It was yellow in body. It had a fruity aroma. The appearance was cloudy. I did not feel that there was much flavor or character in this particular German Wheat. I like this style of brew very much, but this one just did not quite cut it. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Bottle. Never seen this before until the other day when I went to the grocery store. Pours out a darker yellow color with a big white head that goes away pretty fast. Smell has some banana notes and some lemon flavors, but not really very heavy on them. Smells just pretty much like beer. Taste has some nice clove and banana flavors, but this cannot stand up to the better hefes out there. Still, very drinkable, and pretty pleasing overall. I will drink it again.
