Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Slightly hazy with a wisp of a white head and obvious carbonation. Heavy banana aroma with some vanilla. The flavor follows the aroma. The palate is somewhat sharp for a Hefe and the finish is crisp. Decent body.

This was a pretty good hef. Nice banana and clove on the nose, with a sweet honey aroma as well. Color was hazy golden. Flavor was sweeter, with some citrus, banana and clove. Finish was a bit drying, which cut the flavor, but still a nice beer.

12 oz. bottle. Very small, cream colored head. Bright golden color. Light aroma of bread and yeast. Lots of carbonation in this one. Light yeast and citrus flavors with a hint of spiciness at the end. Very drinkable, decent hefeweizen.

12oz bottle labled Konig Ludwig Weiss - Pours cloudy golden with a tall foamy white head that stays pretty well and laces some on the weizen glass. Aroma of bannana, and a little clove. Flavor is lots of bannana, a little clove, and some yeast. Quite carbonated with a lively mouthfeel. Pretty refreshing and actually a little better than I expected it to be.

The aroma has banana, clove, and spices. Color is a cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Initially the flavor is slighlty fruity and grows to a spicey dry finish.

Bottle, nice hazy classic Bavarian Hefeweizen look. A bit over-carbonated, I found that if I poured it high with a big head it lost some of the carbonation and thus tasted much better. Not enough hints of fruit for my taste, I’ll stick with my Paulaner :)
