Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Hazy straw color with a fine puffy head. Grainy aroma with some citrus. Light to medium in body, mildly sweet and bready with a tangy note and a very light finish. Refreshing but sort of bland.

Pours hazy orange with a rich pillowy white head. The aroma has rich wheat with orange citrus notes, prominant banana esters and some spices. Medium body with a rich mouthfeel and good amount of carbonation. The taste starts with some citric flavors that is somewhat distracting and rich wheat. The finish has some astringency and spice. This is an okay hefe, but fall short in a few areas.

Cloudy beige colour. White, rocky head. Clove and banana aroma. Slightly sourish, yeasty and very quenching. A bit thin though.

Not too terribly impressed with this one. Slightly fizzy head, that vanished pretty quickly. Flavor not quite up to the standard of other German wheats, but a big dose of yeast made it nice.

A decent Heffe. Notes of bananna and fruit on a golden hazy body witha white smallish head. Yeasty aroma. Initial sweetness with a crisp and dryer finish. Enjoyable if not spectacular.

Bottle… Cloudy, straw-colored ale with a large, frothy, white head that diminishes to a tight, creamy, everlasting sheet. Big-time banana esters play nicely with more subtle phenols of bubblegum, smoke and clove. Spicy, fruity, yeasty flavor delivers on the promises of the aroma… sweet bread, banana and clove with a whisper of smoke. Gentle bitterness. Medium-bodied with a velvety, smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Sweet, fruity, spicy finish.
