Commercial Description:
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

A very nice weissbier that I will stock regularly. Pours a slightly clouded orangey-gold with a frothy 2 finger cap and lots of effervescent activity in the glass. Starts with blast of tart lemon-peppery tang as the carbonation and tart hops assail the tongue and literally pummel it. Then it mellows to a medium-light body punctuated with malty sweetness and banana undertones...then a dry metallic finish...wadda beer! I like this one as a thirst buster on a warm day.

On tap at the bavarian grill. hazy yellow with a fat fluffy white head. aroma of peppered bananas. straight wheat/banana flavor, nice malt finish. leaves an apple/banana flavor that is enjoyable.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Cloudy golden colour with large white head. Very lively. Nice aroma, spice, banana and yeast. Nice taste, banana again, wheat, yeast; sweet then some sourness. The main taste finishes quite abruptly, leaving a faint , pleasant lingering aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel. Very good.

Good color, cloudy amber with a medium white head. Not too much of an aroma, but excellent flavor. Finishes with a hint of apple.

Pours a golden straw yellow; initial taste is a bit fruity. After taste is of wheat and hangs on the tongue. Would definately drink again.

Cloudy straw pour, nice head and lacing. Sugary cinnamon hops, somewhat fruity, like banana or raisins. Medium mouthfeel and low sweetish aroma. Nice beer, good with food, liked this one a lot. I drank this as Konig Ludwig Weissbier.
