downender (1521), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jul 19, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the summer beer festival, The Royal Oak, Bath 19/7/08. Deep golden with a slight, off-white head. Decent floral hop and slightly sweet malt aroma. Flavour had plenty of fruit, some chewy malt and a rewarding grassy hop finish. Good stuff. chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Feb 13, 2008 Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. More amber than golden. The aroma is a bit grainy but the resinous hops come through quite strongly on the palate. Perhaps more bitter and less aromatic than one might expect from the US hop ingredients. Firm, but not aggressive, mouthfeel. Pretty decent but doesn’t quite hang together as well as it might. Ethereal (880), London, Greater London, England Dec 26, 2007 Gravicask at The Bricklayers Arms Lancashire Fest, 14th Sept 2007. Doesn’t look too good - hazy gold with little head - but has a good grassy hop aroma. I found it a bit gassy and mucky taste-wise but the finish is decently bitter. A refreshing summer ale and as Mes says, a good first attempt. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 30, 2007 Cask gravity at St Albans BF, 2007. Very clear gold, thin off white head. Good hop on this, again a bit of tea, but some orange fruit, fullish, this is pretty good. Nice hops and fruit. Good. reakt (810), Greater London, England Sep 25, 2007 Cask @ The Bricklayer’s Arms, Lancashire Beer Festival. Golden with no head. Floral hops and lemongrass in the nose. Hoppy and bitter flavour with a grassy, floral finish. Plain Jane.
