Aubrey (2554), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 5, 2004 Nice and black with a tan head ... the way it should be. Typical roasty, toasty, chocolate, caramel flavors ... even with a bit of sourness. Big, dry bitterness to finish things off. Other than the nitro, it was a great stout. Braudog (3461), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 7, 2004 Black with substantial tan soap-sudsy head. Sweet malt aroma. Super sweet flavor with only a slight hint of coffee. Almost sugary. Thin. Ernest (4186), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 15, 2002 Draught. Body is black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, dark chocolate, mild coffee, caramel), with a note of vanilla. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Too light and sweet, but a nice aroma.
