Amber with a so-so head. Malty aroma, caramel. I found it a bit too sweet for my liking of an amber. Weak body. Middle of the road not much else.

341mL bottle at the Kick Off. Pours a hazy (?) red with a small beige head. The aroma is basically just sugar, mild malts, minor esters, bland in every sense of the word. Flavour is the same in its complete lack of any redeeming qualities. Sweet, and not even in a really malty way. Minor sweet cherry flavour that isn’t at all impressive. Usually I can appreciate simplicity but not when it simply sucks. Man am I glad I never splurged on a 6er of this stuff from the LCBO. This would benefit greatly from the addition of anything that would make it taste less like indistinct cherry soda, or pretty much anything that it would make it taste like anything.

341 ml bottle, bought at the LCBO Rideau and King Edward (Ottawa) in a single bin, 1 November 2009. Dark orange, little head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, a bit fruity. Taste a little caramelized malt, a little tart fruitiness, little bitter, easy drinking. A simple but drinkable amber ale!

Really nice Amber ale, aroma of caramel, nut and citrus. Taste is sweet toffee, hop with a medium body. I’d definitely drink this again.

Bottled sample via sammy. Amber in colour with strong carbonation. Loads of crystal malts on the nose with notes of caramel, mild orange, and a bit of toasted nut. Flavors are of very artificial sweented iced tea, pine nuts, and a bit of earthy bitterness. Watery and light bodied, yet still fairly cloying on the finish. Seems pretty blah to me. Average at best.

341 mL Bottle. Red-amber body with an off-white foamy head that stays and clings to the sides of the glass. Aroma of sweet malt, crystal malt, brown sugar, and a hint of toffee. The flavor, although a bit sweet, describes the same as the aroma, toffee and brown sugar come through in the aftertaste and linger for a bit. Nice smooth mouth feel. I’ll take this one on an autumn fishing trip.

341 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear reddish goldwith creamy white head. Caramel malt very prominent in the nose with a slight nuttishness. Quite big malty flavour, fairly sweet, with some caramel, fruit, roast and spice. More body than might expect and soft carbonation. I was pleasantly surprised by this.

Bottle from Sammy. Thanks!! Pours a darker red, Caramel malt & nutty brown ale aroma. Taste is malt dominated; caramel and a twing of chocolate. Fuller bodied. Decent
